Informality and constructivist abstraction in Spain

Sculpture October 2, 2015

Gerardo Rueda (1926-1996) has been one of the most influential contemporary artist of the second half of the twentieth century. His work has always fascinated me.

He belongs to the generation of Torner, Zobel and Mompo, known as well as the ‘silent generation’. He has pioneered the introduction of informality in Spain and his artwork has evolved into constructivist abstraction.

Here you have something that you might like.
